We so Fancy

Mike and I went for a drive today down Ocean Blvd in Delray and Boca. There are some of the most amazing homes I have ever seen here. These are multimillion dollar houses on the ocean or along the intra-coastal. (The intra-coastal is a man-made waterway a block from the ocean so people can park their boats/ yachts outside their house and drive their boats to the ocean.) Here are some we were able to get pictures of. I couldn't get pictures of a lot of houses because they are hidden behind lots of bushes and foliage, but I think this gives you the idea. for those who prefer to get everywhere by boat humble abode or a condo on the water so you can dock your boat close by This is an example of the snowbird effect in South Florida. In some areas, the majority of the condos are boarded up for the summer. The New Yorkers flee the humidity and leave their million dollar condos for the summer. What a crazy life-style!! I love this pic of the walkway to the beach. Gorgeous!

"> I spent a great week in Utah visiting friends and family. I hung out with my sister and her cute boys, visited grandparents and saw a few friends. I have decided a week is not nearly long enough. Mike was sent to Philadelphia this week on business. He worked 26 hours straight (ouch) then took the next day to tour the city. Here are the highlights according to Mike. Liberty Bell Love Park Such cool architecture. Asia Town. Love the name of this place. the "Rocky" steps Rodin's "The Thinker" Penitentiary where Al Capone was held (Philly) Cheese steak on every corner How to properly order a cheese steak. You mean that cheese is actually cheez whiz. Gross!

Hah. Got your attention didn't I!?! This weekend Mike and I saw John Mayer in concert with openers OneRepublic. It was Mayer's last show of his tour so he really went all out. He played for just under 3 hours. It was so good. He played the usual expected: Gravity, Say, Waiting for the World to Change, Why Georgia, etc. He also played a lot of covers: Crossroads by Cream (Eric Clapton), Free Fallin (Tom Petty), For what it's worth (Buffalo Springfield), and at one point went crazy playing the blues. The first of his two sets of encores he came out sans shirt playing Van Halen rocking out like a little kid imitating his favorite rock god. It was hilarious. Later he let us know how he and his whole band were totally hammered. (Ah, it all makes sense now.) OneRepublic was also really good. Check out their songs Apologize, Stop & Stare, Goodbye Apathy. Really cool up and comers. They had a guy who alternately played cello and guitar. Awesome! The only bummer about the concer...
